History
Our school began its journey in 1982 as Kamaraj English Nursery School, located in a rental building at 3rd Chekkadi Street. The institution was inaugurated under the visionary leadership of C. Chithambara Nadar, President of the Nadar Uravinmurai, along with the support of dedicated committee members.
In 1984, the school was relocated to its current premises on Government Offices Street, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Over the decades, the school progressively expanded its offerings:
- 2006-2007: Classes from LKG to V th standard were officially introduced under the name Kamaraj Primary & Nursery School.
- 2012-2013: The institution added classes up to 8th standard, renamed as Kovilpatti Nadar Kamaraj Matriculation School.
- 2013-2014: IX th standard was introduced, marking the institution’s steady growth.
- 2014-2015: The first batch of X th standard students commenced their academic journey.
- 2024-2025: Classes for XI th and XII th standard were established, elevating the school to its current name: Kovilpatti Nadar Kamaraj Matric Higher Secondary School.
From a modest nursery school to a higher secondary institution, our school has continuously evolved to meet the educational needs of the community. Today, we are proud to uphold a legacy of academic excellence and unwavering commitment to student success.
